Karen's blogTop Drupal Modules For BloggingSubmitted by Karen on Thu, 2007-12-27 23:25.
Drupal is designed to be a community site, but it is entirely suitable for a personal blog. I use it for my blog not only because I am a rabid Drupal fangirl, but also because I have quite a few sites and it is just easier to learn one system, stick to it, and develop a method to maintain them all. Fasttoggle and Twitter ModulesSubmitted by Karen on Sun, 2007-06-17 23:03.
After several long days of working on other people's Drupal sites, I treated myself to a couple of modules that I think I will really like. There are many modules available for Drupal 5, and several of them are quite necessary but at the same time create enough work that they cannot be enabled on a lark. *cough*Views*cough* You know the ones. Drupal Theming SiteSubmitted by Karen on Mon, 2007-06-04 21:26.
I often hear that Drupal is hard to theme. I don't believe it, it is only my lack of artistic talent that keeps me from creating wonderful themes, and also a certain amount of un-motivatedness. ( categories: )
Sometimes Ya Just Gotta RantSubmitted by Karen on Wed, 2007-04-25 23:11.
I expect it happens just about everywhere. I happen to follow the Drupal forums so I am accustomed to the rhythm of it all, but I see blowups elsewhere from time to time, usually involving free stuff. I am even guilty of it myself. Not over at Drupal, because it always seemed to work at least enough to give me hope. It was back before Drupal. ( categories: )
Icons on Your SiteSubmitted by Karen on Thu, 2007-03-29 21:00.
People seem to like images on a website. I do try to tone the graphics down on a website, perhaps too much, because I know that a lot of people have slow connections and a heavy page is very frustrating to them. On the other hand, I was recently giving a site an overhaul and I added a few small icons in strategic places, and that little dash of color really livened things up. ( categories: )
